Who doesnt have a stash of old paper photos! Some of them very well organized in photo albums and some bundled, tucked in a corner of our storage space. If you are lucky you may have the negatives matching your photos to go back and process them fresh. However, in my scenario, I found a few precious pics in my gallery  that I dont even remember when I received them! Let me clarify, the copies I had were cellphone pictures taken from the originals years back. By then the originals already were starting to show the toll of time as watermarks, termite damaged and disintegration of color and finish of the old photo paper.

The first set of photo are my grandparents probably their first photos after getting married! Time this photo was taken was between 1930-1935. That is almost a 90 year time span. It was high time to get this precious picture restored, add some colour and preserve it forever. I am sure my grandparents would be so proud of their granddaughter`s try to bring back this precious ancestral moment back after nine decades.

The second set of photo are my mom and dad. It was taken not too long after their wedding. There was a multitude of damage clearly visible on the original picture. This photo was more than 50 years old and has been battered by water and termite damage. I tried to fix the visible damages while keeping the original picture in its black and white format.

 The third set of photo are my mom and dad. This photo was taken at the same session as the second set of photo. Again a fifty plus year old gem that I was determined to bring this beauty back from time. In this photo I tried to add a hint of color through my mom`s bindi and red vermillion mark on her forehead.
