Good News!!! Inspite of COVID 19 that brought striking changes in our lifestyle and work life, May and Mothers Day is finally here. A promise of warmer weather, an immense anticipation of freedom, good health and fun filled memories are here. I can almost hear them knocking on the door!
Having said that Mothers Day this year falls on May 10th Sunday. Compared to previous years, Mothers Day this year sure feels to be different with restrictions on large gatherings and travels. There will still be families coming together for the celebration but in smaller groups.
Out door activities are just starting to take a leap with cautious optimism.
Starting May 4-2020 small businesses such as photography have an approval to practice again in Manitoba. To tell you the truth, I cannot express how excited I am! To be back into business again, see my clients during photo sessions, meet people and share some warm moments through every camera click.
May is all about outdoor photo sessions with family, baby, kids. Its about making your MOM feel special - whether she is a first time mother or with grand kids.
Lenses with 24-70mm were traditionally used for group photos, when social distancing was not in our regular dictionary. With things promising to come back to normal which is a "New Normal", I have improvised my style of photography a bit. I am also using telephoto zoom lens such as 70-200mm for outdoor photos.
For the month of May, specially outdoor family sessions in the park or front yard/back yard, I will use the above two type of lenses. This will help keep a safe distance between the clients and myself, while the family can enjoy each others company in close vicinity.
The images in this blog are from beautiful moms where I was able to capture the emotions between a mother and her child. I consider myself extremely lucky for being part of these photo sessions and now getting a chance to share with you some of my wonderful experiences as a family, baby and mom photographer!
Stay safe all..Happy Mothers Day!
