Passion for photography- beyond taking an image or freezing a moment.
After a long frosty winter, Easter weekend marks the first step of freedom. A freedom to enjoy outdoors, freedom to hunt easter eggs, freedom to dress up as easter bunnies.. Oh! what a joy.. As a kids photographer this time of the year I feel like a kid in a candy store, capturing those sweet memories in millions of pixels.
Spring every year begins with Easter festivities and this year was no different. Except the COVID-19 pandemic leading to social distancing which changed the regular norm into a whole new world! I can say a million times how I have missed doing outdoor photoshoots, kids and easter photography, capturing spring outdoor sessions with family and friends this year.
These photos are blast from the past showing unforgettable moments of Easter photoshoot with baby Olivia, baby Jessie, baby Tommy. How can I forget the joyful moments of setting up the props, eagerness of the parents getting their precious ones ready for a perfect pose, excitement of the little ones opening the easter eggs!
I like to change my easter props every few years. If you are looking to find a variety of props for easter and kids photography, dollar store can be a great place to begin with. When buying easter props, please make sure the products are not easily breakable or contain sharp edges. I try to avoid props that are tiny or can be a chocking hazard for little children. Bunny tails and bunny ears can never go wrong!
When doing kids photography during Easter, I have experienced it is always a good idea to save the real chocolate treats till the end of the photoshoot. The kids stay motivated for the treat at the end and it is easier for photographers to handle their cute subjects without the sugar rush!
