Baby around six months of age are able to sit by themselves with minimum support and are great posers. They are happy, not too bothered with newer surroundings and do not need frequent feedings or diaper changes like newborns.
They are fairly easy to change dress and are amazing when placed within props or spreads for the photos.
This happy baby came to my studio with parents and grandparents. My previous blog talks about baby and grandparents photo ideas. This one will focus specifically pose ideas and session tips for six month old baby and parents during photoshoot.
Baby can be positioned to sit by himself with both parents on each side. This pose works really well for babies who like to be held and are not too keen to sit by themselves.
When the baby gets comfortable he can be gently placed slightly farther such as forward and that works really well for getting amazing shots. A happy baby can be held in the centre between mom and dad or can sit with either parent.
While posing the parents I make sure they are sitting comfortably and straight. My style is to capture the happy expressions of that particular moment .
Baby can look straight towards the photographer or playing with a small toy or be poses within a prop. Photos look good with happy smiles.
