Photos processed in color with different filters are catchy and looks amazing. But when done in black and white looks really dramatic.
Black and white filters are readily available and in this set of pictures I have used a setting called “low contrast” as available in photoshop express. It has provided the perfect black and a superb dynamic range of grey that I had hoped to see in these images.
Not all colored photos look great in black and white. I have tried sepia in brown and blue, some antique sheds however, the low contrast setting was able to produce the perfect finish I wanted.
Adjusting the color temperature towards warm can bring out the brightness correctly without giving an over exposed look. 24-70mm, f 2.8 was used for the entire photoshoot. No additional studio lights were used as I decided to use the natural light. I intentionally kept the background backdrop color in black as mom had expressed her preference to see and receive some of the pictures taken during the session, in black and white after post processing.
